A connective layer for regenerative civilization

Thousands of regenerative initiatives already exist.

Millions of people care.

Many resources are available.

The remaining challenge is visibility, participation, and coordination.

This connective layer is where Gaianet focuses its attention.

Everything else flows from there.

Core principles

Gaians are guided by:

  • Unity Consciousness

  • Individual Sovereignty

  • Regeneration

Unity recognizes life as interconnected. Sovereignty honors the freedom of each being. When both are lived, regeneration follows. Regeneration is life expressing itself - serving life where it is needed.

Together they form a compass for human flourishing - within ourselves, between us, and in the world we shape.

Care, wellbeing, honesty, transparency, collaboration, and contribution naturally flow from here.

When you feel a strong “yes!”, you too, are a Gaian.

A self-organizing foundation

Gaianet is stewarded through a distributed organizational structure.

It applies regenerative governance practices, and shares its learnings with the ecosystem.

Traditional models of hierarchy are replaced by a circular structure. Purpose alignment is central. Authority is distributed, making each participant a sovereign steward of their role.

Through years of experimentation - in close collaboration with seasoned self-organization professionals - Gaianet developed its own Operating System / Playbook. A holacracy-inspired framework to distribute authority, empower teams, and leverage collective intelligence. The OS Playbook is shared publicly, open source, to support regenerative leaders and organizations around the world.

The organization currently operates as a Dutch foundation (Stichting Gaianet) - while remaining open to other life-centered approaches to governance.

Long-term orientation

A shared awakening is taking place.

A pull toward meaning. Toward each other. Toward what is real.

In the undercurrent it is already taking shape:

A world that works for everyone.

More than an idea. Real. Necessary. Something to build. Something to live.

A New Earth.

The transition may take decades. Yet, millions across the world are committed.

Gaianet serves as a meeting point - so we can all find each other.

The founders journey

Gaianet emerged from two simple observations:

  1. Humanity is ready to transition to life-centered systems and structures

  2. Many aligned solutions already exist, yet often they are siloed

In 2020, Alexander Keehnen and the original co-founders began their journey.

Networking. Mapping. Facilitating community spaces. Articulating the culture of the new paradigm.

Since then, thousands of conversations, events, collaborations, and lived experiments shaped Gaianet’s understanding of regenerative ecosystem’s culture, network dynamics, and needs.
