Principles

Part of being a Gaian is nurturing the organization. Preferably this is (primarily) in money.

Contributions in kind are very welcome and need to be coupled to the type of nourishment Gaianet needs in the form of an executable commitment.

For this phase we envision 4 nourishment streams:

  • A yearly contribution by Gaianet member

  • Contributions from Guardians who want to support Gaianet

  • Donations by Gaianet members and supporters

  • Grants or subsidies

We hope that Guardians will generate up to 70% of the organization costs. The rest to be split by membership contributions and donations.

Guidance

  • Our Guidance for your yearly contribution is € 30 per month per person. We prefer monthly payments.

  • If your input is time or service, please propose an equivalent for the monetary amount.

  • Higher amounts are very welcome, as are lower payments. A monetary contribution of € 0 is welcome too if you sent us your love and energy.

  • If you cannot contribute with money, please indicate what you aim to do to nourish Gaianet.

Providing your nourishment in other ways

The most effective way to contribute in a non-monetary way is to expand our network. This by connecting us to new supporters and guardians who can contribute monetarily.

Invite loved ones who you feel want to nourish Gaianet by sending them this [link]. Aim that at least ten persons get active

Introduce us to 2 – 3 persons who might be interested in substantially supporting Gaianet, like, for instance, a potential Guardian

  • Organize a birthday event where your birthday gift is a donation to Gaianet

  • Check Gaianet's website and see if you see an Asking that you would love to take on.

Where will your nurture go, and what do we need?

A core value of Gaianet is transparency. So, we love to inform you to what purpose your contributions will be used. We have developed three scenarios, calculating what is needed for the organization of Gaianet. The three scenarios are:

  • Current Core Team at Brazil salary

  • Full team, part-time salary

  • Full team, full-time salary

When you see the amounts, you might also appreciate the current core team's dedication to getting Gaianet through the first phase.

Please note that your contributions and your efforts for other people to contribute to Gaianet are significant. Every bit of nurture is love in action and very much appreciated.
